Awoke mid-afternoon. Escorted to library, where I encountered both Rukia and VC Abarai. Information obtained:

-At night, doors open, monsters appear, nurses disappear.
-Armed resistance being organized, under C Hitsugaya, with assistance by Rukia, VC Abarai, VC Hinamori, and VC Matsumoto.
-Staff possesses powerful medicines: accelerate healing, addle mind. Random acts of resistance unadvisable.

Personal notes:

Rukia is safe. Good. I suppose I have Renji to thank for that. His rebelliousness from the past seems to have been magnified by a prolonged stay in this place, though (negative mental effects?). I suppose I ought to have a private word with him tomorrow... set a few things straight.

Rukia said he had been taken from just after our duel. He must still think me a monster, then.

Unacceptable. I have changed, as people are wont to do. For the better, I should hope.
